Oregon vaccine exclusion day coming February 17th- Know your rights!

vaccine3Oregon is still one of the few States that allows a parent to make informed decisions about each vaccine being proposed by the CDC schedule and the Oregon Department of Health. Having informed consent means that after you have reviewed the pros and the cons with your child’s doctor, you can decide whether or not you want to give that vaccine. If you are not allowed to make this choice, we have slipped into a police state status where the government tells you what medical procedures will be done on your child regardless of your thought or choices.  Thankfully, Oregonians have said no to such an approach and have maintained a path to medical freedom. You can vaccinate as you feel is best for your child and your child does not need to be excluded as the schools and the State letters that have arrived in your mailboxes would imply.

To get your exemption watch the online video and print off your certificate immediately after watching it. Also, keep a copy for yourself, just in case it goes “missing”. The video can be found here:

Sign the Certificate of Immunization Status:
https://public.health.oregon.gov/PreventionWellness/VaccinesImmunization/GettingImmunized/Documents/SchCISform.pdf

Turn in the certificate your printed after watching the video, and the certificate of immunization Status – and maintain your dignity.

If you are my patient and have taken the above steps but are still facing any challenges at a school, please let me know.  Call my office.

Medical Freedom!

Help Shape Medical Freedom In Oregon

OMF HeaderDear Friends,

Our thanks go out to those who helped with the signature gathering on the petitions for our potential ballot measure. We don’t have an official update yet, but as soon as have concrete information, we will let you know! The political process is time-consuming and sometimes runs slow as you all well know.

It’s also expensive.

We’ve made headway, but we have a long way to go. We’re on the cusp of creating a clear and permanent moat around preserving medical freedom for our kids and our families, but we need your help urgently to make it happen.

We don’t have fancy donors or large companies behind us – but we do have passion. We are the future of medical freedom and it takes all of us, little by little, to make big changes in Oregon.

Your contribution of $5, 10, 25, $50, or $100 will have a significant impact as we fight to protect our rights to medical freedom and informed consent, and because of the Oregon Political Tax Credit, it doesn’t have to cost you anything. Sound too good to be true? Read the details about this tax credit on our website.

We know the fight to protect medical freedom, right to privacy, and personal decision making regarding medical procedures for our families, is far from over and we need your help now, more than ever. Please consider contributing to support our efforts and help medical freedom move forward.

You can contribute quickly and securely by clicking on the button at the end of this email, on our website here, or you can mail a check to Oregonians for Medical Freedom PAC with the information here.

Thank you so much for your support, for your consideration of a financial contribution, and for your continued commitment to medical freedom for all Oregonians.

With your help today, we will shape medical freedom in the future.

Parents! Collect Those Cell Phones Before Bed and Watch Your Teenager’s School Performance Improve

TeenOnPhoneWhen my house was full with eight children, most of them teenagers, most with cell phones, it was obvious that cell phone use after typical bed time hours was contributing to daytime fatigue and suspected poor school performance. With my daughter who simply couldn’t unplug from socializing, we collected her phone before bed.  I learned years later, that she would do chores for her older brothers to get access to their phones!

The study Effects of Instant Messaging on School Performance in Adolescents found that students with the most cell phone use after lights out reported the least sleep duration, a higher rate of daytime sleepiness, and poorer academic performance.

The solution is simple. Have a family policy that all phones and smart anything (Ipads, laptops, etc.) are turned in for overnight charging to a location like the parents bedroom!

Training your child and your family in general to unplug from this constant need for connectedness will improve more than just sleep and academic performance. You might even find that your teenager comes and says good night and tucks you in at night!

Martin Luther King Day, January, 2016- “Justice Is Indivisible”

MLK2What would MLK have said about mandating vaccines?

As a pediatrician over the past 30 years, I have watched the biggest threat to our children’s health evolve from that of infectious diseases to the chronic diseases of autism, ADHD, anxiety, obesity, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders.

You would think that by listening to the loudest voices and mainstream doctors, media and the “status quo” message, that it was vaccines that resulted in this reduction in serious infections. That is partially correct. But on the flip side you will read and hear that “vaccines are safe and effective”, also only partially correct.

What gets lost in all the noise is that many diseases have come and gone or largely played out without the aid of vaccines. We don’t vaccinate against streptococcus that causes strep throat, or Ebola, and while sometimes scary, these diseases have not taken over the population and killed millions each year in America.

Why?

It has to do with a healthy immune system and, in the case of Ebola,  good public health strategies where quarantine and treatment worked.

I have observed over the past 30 years that my least vaccinated patients are the healthiest in most cases. A look at the data from my own practice shows this to be true.

I have observed that an increasing percentage of my patient population is vulnerable to vaccine damage, and that those children who are vaccinated more slowly and carefully have less autism and tend to be  healthier. There are too many stories (a hundred just in my practice) of a normal 1 year old becoming autistic by age 2, usually right after a vaccine or a bunch of vaccines given at 12-15 months.

What would Martin Luther King (MLK) do if he were in my shoes?

I have no doubt that he would speak out about the injustice being perpetrated on innocent children disguised as a vaccine that is good for you.

He said, “The time is always right to do what is right.”

You can stay with your comfortable “vaccines are safe and effective” mantra and ignore the truth in front of your eyes, or you can rise up and support the families struggling with vaccine damage, the innocent children lining up like cattle headed for slaughter, or the unborn child having her womb violated with an aluminum containing Tdap vaccine.

MLK said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’

It is not enough to think that because my child dodged the vaccine damage bullet, I’ll ignore this issue, when our own government officials are teaming up with the CDC and pharmaceutical companies to mandate vaccines without informed consent! This becomes a police state where the government can do a medical procedure on your child without your consent, as has happened in California with the passage of SB 277. This law that goes into effect July 1, 2016 effectively turns California into a police state forcing children to get all mandated vaccines in order to attend school or daycare.

I live in Oregon, where we stopped a similar bill SB 442 in 2015, but the forces that stand to profit from mandated vaccines will not stop. Imagine that you have a product for which you have no liability if your consumer gets hurt by it, and then you get it mandated that every child in the country must take your product! These mandates, that you must subject your body to the injections, will expand to adults. Imagine that you cannot get your social security benefits unless you get a number of vaccines, yearly without your consent?

I am pro-vaccine, but also pro-medical freedom. No medical procedure should be mandated by the State on the population. PERIOD.

In MLK’s words: “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
