Dirty Dozen Foods 2014-Updated (EWG)
Remember that the benefits of fruits and vegetables (eating whole foods in their natural forms) outweighs the dangers of pesticides. BUT, if you can, consider buying organic- at least for the 12 most contaminated foods:
apples, strawberries, grapes, celery, peaches, spinach, sweet bell peppers, nectarines, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, imported snap peas, potatoes, hot peppers, and kale/collard greens.
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has just released their 2014 Shoppers Guide to Pesticides in Produce. Please take the time to read through it. This will help you to avoid toxins in your family’s food.
