What are your thoughts on the chemicals in the swimming pools child development? Do you recommend a specific age?

  • Chlorine, that is high in most pools, is usually tolerated fine, but clearly is not a good chemical and rarely I have seen kids who are allergic or very sensitive to chlorine.
A salt water pool would be better (hard to find).
In Europe, I understand that babies are learning to swim as infants, before they can walk! The earlier the better as far as avoiding the fear of water that I had. Supervision is key of course. Never leave a child of any age – unattended in the tub or any body of water.
