    Great information, thank you! I’m curious what you suggest as a safe healthy alternative to the juice that would be as fast at raising a low blood sugar for a child with Type 1 Diabetes. Anything besides regular glucose tablets?

    • My comments about juice were to emphasize the benefits of real fruit. In that case of diabetes and that rare situation where you need to get the blood sugar up fast – juice is fine. If you have the ability to make your own fresh squeezed then it’s perfectly fine.
