The later the better really, as then there is less time for bacteria to work on the enamel and cause tooth decay. Once your baby has teeth, start wiping them off a couple times a day and before the longest sleep stretch. You may also consider seeing a pediatric dentist. Most pediatric dentists now like to see patients right after the first tooth appears, or at age 1.
